Jimmy Murphy

American musician (1925–1981)

Jimmy Murphy was an American musician (1925-1981). He moved to Knoxville, TN to pursue music opportunities and recorded a demo tape arranged by Chet Atkins, which led to a publishing contract. Murphy released the album Electricity and songs including Reels: The Boys of the Lough / The Devils of Dublin with Lamond Gillespie and Very Few Heartaches & Very Few Tears with Anne Murphy and The Kavavliers.
