Dame Emma Thompson is an English actress and writer. She wrote and starred in Sense and Sensibility. She also won the Academy Award for Best Actress for her role in Howards End. Thompson played Professor Trelawney in the Harry Potter series, including Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. Her other film credits include Beauty and the Beast, Cruella, Last Christmas, Love Actually, and Men in Black 3. Beyond acting, she also wrote the film Nanny McPhee Returns and produced Sold.
