
Billy Idol
Billy Idol is an English musician. A figure of the Second British Invasion, Idol was the lead singer of the punk rock group Generation X from 1976 to 1981. Following its breakup, he pursued a solo career beginning with his debut single Dancing with Myself. Some of his other famous songs include White Wedding, Eyes Without a Face, and Rebel Yell. Idol released his self-titled debut album in 1982, following it with 1983’s Rebel Yell, 1986’s Whiplash Smile, and 1990’s Charmed Life. He has appeared in the documentary Nightclubbing: The Birth of Punk Rock in NYC and the films The Doors and The Wedding Singer.
