Lee Morgan was an American jazz trumpeter and composer. He was a member of Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers and Dizzy Gillespie's big band, and recorded classic albums for Blue Note starting in 1956. Morgan released the album The Sidewinder in 1963, which marked his breakthrough to a wider audience and includes his most popular song, The Sidewinder. He also released the albums Cornbread and The Procrastinator.
