Over eight episodes, interviews with John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr that were featured in the original 1995 version of the anthology series tell the story of how they met, and how they went from a local Liverpool rock and roll band to a global sensation. Helping tell this story are more contemporary interviews conducted with McCartney, Starr, and Harrison in 1994, 14 years after John Lennon's murder. As they chronicle key events throughout their Beatles career, conversations with formers managers George Martin and Neil Aspinall offer additional insights and backstage details. Meanwhile, every episode offers improved and remixed recordings and footage of the band's songs, tour performances, and promotional short music films showcasing many of their greatest hits, highlighting how their music evolved throughout their brief but legendary recording career. A bonus ninth episode features the three former Beatles in 1994 working on the original anthology.
