Melissa Benoist is an American actress and singer. She appeared in the films Whiplash, The Longest Ride, and Patriots Day. Benoist is known for playing Supergirl in the TV series of the same name across its six-season run from 2015 to 2021. She also appeared in the TV series Glee, Waco, and The Girls on the Bus.
