American actress, singer-songwriter

Alice Ripley is an American actress and singer-songwriter. She originated the role of Violet Hilton in the musical Side Show, first in a workshop in 1996 and later on Broadway in 1997 where she starred alongside Emily Skinner. Ripley appeared in the musical James Joyce's The Dead in 2000 and was cast as Betty Schaefer in the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical Sunset Boulevard, a role she reprised on Broadway. Her film credits include Bear With Us with Cheyenne Jackson and Christy Carlson Romano, Isn't It Delicious, Sing Along, and SUGAR!. Ripley has released several singles, including Carry Me Away with Brad Simmons, Thy Will, and The Shiny Black Door.
