The siblings show why they’re Memphis legends on this joint project. Brothers Juicy J and Project Pat have been soundtracking the South since they emerged as stalwarts of the Memphis rap scene in the ’90s—Juicy as a member of Three 6 Mafia, Pat as a solo sensation. Together, they helped establish Bluff City as a preeminent spot for hip-hop, one forged on familial connection. Fast-forward three decades, and they decided to survey the empire they’ve built on the aptly titled 2026 LP Dem Goats. Here, they pay homage to the sounds they’ve pioneered over the course of their illustrious careers. Take “Still the Same,” which finds the siblings rapping over an old-school beat from new-school sensation Hitkidd. They’re spitting over a groove made by an artist they influenced, who in turn replicates their signature Dirty South sound for a new generation. It’s a full-circle moment and speaks to the profound influence that J and Pat have on modern rap music, both at home and across the country. Our Favorite Song: The throwback soul-disco of the Anderson .Paak-assisted “Wasting Time.”
