LeVar Burton is an American actor, director, and television host. He played Kunta Kinte in the 1977 miniseries Roots and appeared in the Star Trek franchise, including the show Star Trek: Picard. He also hosted the educational television series Reading Rainbow for 23 years. Burton has directed films such as Blizzard and Smart House and hosted the podcast LeVar Burton Reads.
