The Roots are an American hip hop band. Formed by Black Thought and Questlove, they released their debut album Organix, followed by Illadelph Halflife and Things Fall Apart. The band has popular songs including You Got Me featuring Eve and Erykah Badu, The Seed (2.0), and What They Do. The Roots are the house band on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The Roots have appeared in the documentaries Beats, Rhymes & Life: The Travels of A Tribe Called Quest and Dave Chappelle's Block Party.
