Sam Waterston is an American actor, producer, and director. He is best known for starring as Jack McCoy in Law & Order. Waterston has also appeared in films such as Capricorn One, where he worked with O.J. Simpson, The Man in the Moon, Serial Mom, and the documentary Gatsby in Connecticut: The Untold Story. He has further television credits in The Newsroom. Beyond acting, Waterston produced the film The Journey of August King.
