Salma Hayek

Mexican-American actress and producer

Salma Hayek is a Mexican-American actress and producer. She became the first Mexican actress to be nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actress for her portrayal of Frida Kahlo in the 2002 film Frida. She has also appeared in films such as Once Upon a Time in Mexico, Grown Ups, The Hitman's Bodyguard, Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard, and House of Gucci.

Among her other credits, Hayek voiced the character Kitty Softpaws in the animated film Puss in Boots, directed The Maldonado Miracle (which earned her a Daytime Emmy Award), and appeared in and produced the series Ugly Betty.
