Marc Johnson
American jazz bass player, composer, and band leader
Marc Johnson is an American jazz bass player, composer and bandleader. He was a member of Bill Evans' last rhythm section from 1978 until Evans' death in 1980. Johnson released the album Bass Desires, as well as Shades of Jade and The Sound of Summer Running. His most popular songs include In a Quiet Place and Dream Dance, recorded with Enrico Pieranunzi and Joey Baron, and Che vuole questa musica stasera with the same duo. He led the group Right Brain Patrol.
