Kate Pierson is an American singer, lyricist, multi-instrumentalist, and co-vocalist of the B-52s. She has explored dance-rock, indie pop, and disco on her solo albums Guitars and Microphones and Radios & Rainbows. Pierson has released popular songs including Let's Spend Half a Day, Throw Down the Roses, and This World Is Something New to Me with Lenny Kravitz and Patti Smith. She has appeared in the documentaries Alumination and Fanny: The Right To Rock, as well as the film The B-52s - With the Wild Crowd! Live in Athens, GA.
