American country musician
Glen Campbell was an American country musician. After working as a session guitarist for Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra, Campbell launched a solo career. He released albums including Gentle On My Mind and By the Time I Get to Phoenix. His popular singles include Wichita Lineman and Rhinestone Cowboy. He won Grammy Awards for Best Male Country Vocal Performance for Gentle on My Mind in 1967 and Best Country Song for I'm Not Gonna Miss You in 2015. He won a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2012. Campbell appeared in films such as True Grit and Any Which Way You Can, and hosted the television series The Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour.
