American actress

Elle Fanning is an American actress. She appeared in the films Maleficent, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, Super 8, A Complete Unknown, and We Bought a Zoo. Fanning also portrayed Empress Catherine II in the Hulu series The Great across its three-season run from 2020 to 2023 and starred in the limited series The Girl From Plainville in 2022.

Elle Fanning became the youngest person to serve as a jury member at the Cannes Film Festival. She has produced the film All the Bright Places and the series Mastermind: To Think Like a Killer.

Fanning has also hosted Wondery’s Society & Culture podcast One Click and has music contributions including her single Moon River with A$AP Ferg.
