Scatman Crothers was an American entertainer (1910–1986). Crothers played in bands before transitioning to television acting. He later provided voice acting for The Harlem Globetrotters from 1970 to 1973. Crothers also appeared in the series Chico and the Man from 1974 to 1978. Crothers appeared in movies such as Scavenger Hunt, The Shining, Zapped!, and Twilight Zone: The Movie. Outside of acting, Crothers recorded songs such as Mean Dog Blues, Rock, Roma, Rock!, and Some of My Best Friends Are Shoes.
