Tyler Perry is an American actor, director, screenwriter, playwright, producer, and author. Perry created the Madea character and appeared in and produced the Madea films, including Tyler Perry’s Madea Goes to Jail, Tyler Perry’s A Madea Christmas, and Tyler Perry’s A Madea Family Funeral.

Perry has also written, produced, and directed many plays, films, and TV shows including Tyler Perry’s Why Did I Get Married? and its sequel, along with the series Tyler Perry’s Sistas, Tyler Perry’s The Oval, Tyler Perry’s House of Payne, and Zatima.
