Big Youth is a Jamaican deejay. He emerged in the early 1970s and developed a unique chant-like cadence style of deejaying. Big Youth released the albums Screaming Target, Big Youth Special, and The Chanting Dread Inna Fine Style. He later collaborated with French dub producer Brain Damage on the album Beyond the Blue. His most popular songs include Cool Breeze, Natty Dread She Want, and Dancehall Vibes with Beres Hammond. Big Youth also appears in the film Rockers.
