
Phil Collins
Phil Collins is an English drummer, singer, and songwriter. He was both drummer and eventual lead singer for prog-rock band Genesis, and has had a successful solo career. His solo albums include Face Value and No Jacket Required, the latter of which won three Grammy Awards including Album of the Year. His most popular songs include In the Air Tonight, Against All Odds (Take a Look at Me Now), and Another Day in Paradise. He wrote and sang several songs for the Grammy-winning soundtrack to the 1999 Disney film Tarzan, including the hit song You'll Be In My Heart, which earned Collins an Academy Award for Best Original Song.
For his solo work, Collins was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2003. In 2010, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Genesis. He has also appeared in documentaries Long Strange Trip (about the Grateful Dead) and Immediate Family, and made a cameo appearance in the film Hook.
