E-40 released his first LP in 1992 and has remained a consistent fixture in West Coast rap ever since. Somehow, he’s still got something to say—and plenty of it. His 2026 LP, Turning My Money Over, is a quadruple disc affair, four 10-song sets that reiterate his standing as a legend in the game. Throughout, friends come through like E-40’s hosting an all-day BBQ in his backyard. Larry June, Juvenile, and Havoc roll in on disc one. Disc two special guests include Busta Rhymes and Anderson .Paak. On the third side, he teams up with up-and-comer AZ Chike on “Dreams and Shadows,” illustrating the powerful connection between California rappers in a passing-of-the-torch moment—or, it would be one, if E-40 showed any sign of slowing down.
