Marty Balin was an American singer, songwriter, and musician (1942-2018). He formed Jefferson Airplane and was part of Jefferson Starship. He released solo albums including Balin, Freedom Flight, and Marty Balin Greatest Hits. His most popular songs include Hearts, Atlanta Lady (Something About Your Love), and What Love Is. Balin appeared in the documentary Gimme Shelter.
