Red West was an American actor, film stuntman, and songwriter. West's film credits include Road House where he appeared with Patrick Swayze, Above Suspicion, Proud Men, The Black Dove, and Goodbye Solo. West served as Elvis Presley's bodyguard and collaborated with him to write That's Someone You Never Forget and You'll Be Gone.
