Canadian-American actress (1954 – 2026)

Catherine O'Hara was a Canadian-American actress. On television, she was best known for playing Moira Rose on Schitt's Creek, for which she received the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series. She played Kate McCallister in the Home Alone films, while other film credits include The Nightmare Before Christmas, Beetlejuice, and the sequel Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. She was a frequent collaborator with Christopher Guest and Eugene Levy, starring in films including Best in Show and Waiting for Guffman. She also starred in the Apple Original Film Argylle. and Apple Original Series The Studio, created by Seth Rogen.
