David Sanborn was an American saxophonist. He pioneered smooth and contemporary jazz and was a prolific session player for artists such as Esther Phillips, David Bowie, and Ween. Sanborn released the albums Straight to the Heart, which includes the title track, and Double Vision with Bob James. Among his most popular songs are Hideaway and Maputo with Bob James.
