“This month’s Compiled & Mixed opens with ‘Passing Time,’ a beautifully deeply reflective track from NOCUI’s Changing Colors EP,” John Digweed tells Apple Music as he introduces his August 2025 mix. “The original features a stunning vocal from Charlie Vaux, but I’ve gone with the instrumental. It’s such a beautiful piece of music it felt like the perfect way to ease into this midsummer journey.” As always, many of the selections have been extensively road-tested by Digweed. “One real standout for me this month is Framewerk’s remix of O.Flex and JOZAR’s ‘Meridonal,’” he says. “The tension and build on this track are just incredible—it’s one that works just as well in my club sets as it does here, or on my Transitions show, which is more geared towards home listening. Another gem this month is Sasha Carassi’s remix of the new GusGus track. They’ve always had a great instinct for choosing remixers, and they’ve nailed it again—this one is pure gold. “Shout-out to Nathan Cable too—a name that’s been around since the ’90s and whose music has featured since then under all his aliases. He’s a producer who really understands how to craft progressive house and breaks with emotion and depth, and this latest is no exception. To close, I’ve included a new remix of the legendary ‘Compass Error’ by Atlas, reworked by Phil Jubb and Tim French. I first featured it on Renaissance—The Mix Collection Part 2 back in 1995 and it still hits just as hard 30 years later.”
