Gene Krupa

American drummer, composer, and bandleader (1909-1973)

Gene Krupa was an American drummer, composer, and bandleader. He had a breakout gig in the 1930s with Benny Goodman's big band. Krupa later formed his own big band. Krupa released albums Drummin' With Krupa, Gene Krupa, and The Drum Battle with Buddy Rich. His most popular songs include Mulligan Stew, What's This?, and Georgia on My Mind.
