John Travolta is an American actor. He appeared in films such as Get Shorty, Grease, Pulp Fiction, The Punisher, Hairspray, and Cash Out. Travolta received a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor - Motion Picture Musical or Comedy for his role in Get Shorty.
He earned his wings as a pilot in 1974, dropped out of high school to pursue entertainment full-time, and moved to Manhattan. Travolta has produced the films Battlefield Earth and The Fanatic.
Beyond acting, Travolta has released several albums, including the soundtrack to the movie Grease with Olivia Newton-John, which was a massive commercial success. He has also had popular solo songs such as Easy Evil, All Strung Out On You, Let Her In, and Big Trouble.
